The Amethyst Trust
The Amethyst Trust is a registered charity that trains qualified therapists of all disciplines how adapt and modify their treatments to be able to provide professional massage therapy safely, with confidence and competence to clients with or recovering from cancer within salons and spas.
Our experience has shown that regular massage for people living with cancer can:
- Reduce nausea
- Restore a sense of balance and wellbeing
- Provide a sense of calm
- Reduce symptoms of pain and discomfort
- Improve sleep quality
The Salon and Spa industry is about making people feel great, giving a sense of wellbeing and helping to reduce stress. We believe everyone, including people who have experienced cancer, should be able to access the benefits of massage and be welcomed into salons and spas.
This is a specially designed training course for qualified massage professionals, taught by qualified tutors and covers theory and practical considerations of offering massage therapies to clients who have either experienced or are in currently in treatment for cancer.

All learners are required to have a Level 3 massage qualification.
