Bio
Ellie specialises in commercial contracts and intellectual property (IP) law. She regularly advises on matters such as:
- drafting and negotiating terms and conditions (T&Cs)
- business services agreements and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
- website and digital media documentation including website T&Cs, T&Cs for online sales, privacy policies, cookies policies, website development agreements
- identifying, licensing and transferring IP such as copyright, trade marks, designs, ‘look and feel’ of websites.
Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2007, Ellie has worked for law firms in both Leeds and London. Ellie has acted for a wide range of clients, from start-ups and university spin-out companies, to AIM listed companies.
Ellie is also business owner at Bailoran, meaning as well as possessing the expert legal knowledge, she understands the reality of running a business and the importance of protecting the business’ IP.
Ellie has acted for a number of businesses in the wellness and education industries and is familiar with the issues that arise in these spheres. Ellie also has a well-established network of professional contacts so, if there is an issue that does not fall within her area of expertise, she will be able to recommend someone who can assist.
