Meet Erak, a dedicated personal trainer and mentor with over 15 years’ experience in the health and fitness industry, specialising in sustainable, holistic weight loss and body shaping for professional women aged 40 and above.

In today’s world, where health and fitness information abounds, the challenges faced by professional women have grown more complex. They’re dealing with factors like a slowing metabolism, hormonal changes due to menopause, and demanding lifestyles that often leave little room for self-care.

The Weight Management Challenges

  1. Metabolism Slowdown: With age, metabolism tends to slow down, making it harder to burn calories efficiently, leading to weight gain.
  2. Hormonal Changes: Menopause and perimenopause bring hormonal fluctuations, including a decrease in oestrogen. These changes can lead to increased fat storage, particularly around the abdomen.
  3. Lifestyle Constraints: Many women in their 40s and beyond juggle numerous responsibilities, from work to family and caregiving. Finding time for regular exercise and healthy meals can be challenging, adding stress, and contributing to weight gain.

A Different Approach to Weight Loss

When Marie, a 50-year-old mother of three in the midst of menopause, sought my help, she had tried everything and felt frustrated. Instead of diving straight into diet and exercise, we focused on mindset, emotions, and feelings. This unconventional approach allowed Marie to regain control over her health.

We incorporated healthy eating that her whole family enjoyed and developed an exercise routine that boosted her metabolism while protecting her joints and improved her tone something she was keen to do. Marie’s transformation included improved overall well-being, reduced stress, and minimised the risk of osteoporosis.

Sue’s story

Sue, another client, underwent a similar coaching process and has maintained her weight for a year without fluctuations. Her success reflects the sustainable approach we take. Sue was also interviewed on BBC radio twice, the first time because she’d lost a significant amount of weight and a year later because she’d kept it off, in contrast to many. 

Realistic approaches

While keeping weight off forever may be unrealistic, I set achievable goals with my clients. For instance, Gaenor aimed to maintain an 10lb weight range of her lightest after losing 85lbs, 18 months later she was still within 6lbs of her lightest weight.

The Mission

My mission is to extend this transformative coaching approach to as many women over 40 as possible.
