Update on Cancer Care Map – 179K visitors
Following up on our previous article on Cancer Care Map, we have an update from them. They are a great resource to which you can refer any friends, clients or relatives with cancer. They also have leaflets which you can request to hand out.
We’ve been working hard over the last year to not only grow and develop the content on Cancer Care Map, but to make as many people as possible who are living with or affected by cancer, aware of our website and the thousands of support services listed on it offering help and support that they might not otherwise know about.
In the last 12 months, over 179,000 people have visited the site to search for help and discover the many types of support that is out there – support groups, cancer centres offering information and advice, community activity groups, one to one counselling, practical help with things like finances, transport and managing the things in their day to day lives that don’t go away just because cancer comes along.
We now have over 3,280 organisations and support services listed on Cancer Care Map, and we are checking all information every three months to make sure that links and phone links are up to date.
Our Request to you
We want to work with you to help make more people aware of the
amazing support services that are out there at every step of their cancer
pathway. Let us know if we can send you some of our Cancer Care Map leaflets for your surgeries, cancer centres and to include in patient information packs.
