Cancer Care Map news for 2024

Cancer Care Map is a simple, free, online resource to help people living with cancer find care and support services in their local area, anywhere in the UK. It’s run by The Richard Dimbleby Cancer Fund charity.
For 2024 their website is being updated so users can filter results to show only free services or include those services that might require some form of payment. You will be able to sort by distance to show services that are closest as well as by age and type of service.
For you and your patients/clients, Cancer Care Map can:
- send you Cancer Care Map leaflets for your surgeries, cancer centres and to include in patient information packs
- come and talk (in person or virtually) to patient groups and healthcare teams
- take part in health and wellbeing events, conferences or workshops.
How you can help Cancer Care map:
- help establish new links with charities and NHS organisations
- supply details of local services to add to their website
- contribute to their blog – contact hello@cancercaremap.org
- let clients and patients know about the amazing support services that are there at every step of the cancer pathway.
What users say:
“To my mind this is the best and most comprehensive resource available. I feel confident that they validate their sources and ensure they are credible and check that they are current.”
“I was presenting CCM in a meeting to patients who had still been suffering in silence post-diagnosis, [they are] now aware there are resources they can be in control of.”
“As a former cancer patient and volunteer at various local charities and support groups, I think it is brilliant!! It’s what we have all been crying out for, for sooo long. One central place to find the support we need!”
