Course Outline
The Anatomy and Physiology course is an online course designed to fit around your lifestyle. You can choose to study when and where you want, even studying from the comfort of your own home. It is a must for all Therapists and Health Professionals but is also available to beginners with a general interest in the human body. This course will give you a thorough understanding of the anatomy, physiology, function and pathology (diseases and/or disorders) of each area in the body.
Course Description
Anatomy is the study of the structure of the human body whilst Physiology is the study of the body functions.
This Anatomy and Physiology course will provide you with a thorough understanding of the many systems of the human body and how they interact with each other to create what is, the amazing human body.

How the Course Works
The Anatomy and Physiology Online Course will allow you to study at your own pace in your own home. You can start it in your own time and complete what you can when you have the time. You will have a year to finish the course and even if you don’t finish it in that time, arrangements can be made.
There are 13 lessons you need to complete. Each lesson involves reading from the course manual, labelling a diagram and answering some mock questions. Once you have completed the final lesson, you can take the online mock exam.
Beth Cook, a leading Health and Well-Being Expert and Therapist wrote the course with the student in mind. It is packed with information, videos and tasks to ensure you are learning every step of the way. It is essential that you complete lesson 1 (including the test) before you move onto lesson 2 and so on. Beth will be checking your online progress throughout the course.
Assessment
You have two options/pathways with the qualification/certification of this course, you can choose the right one for you:
Option 1 – ITEC: Learn online in the comfort of your own home at your speed and then you can attend the ITEC level 3 exam (equivalent to NVQ) in London or Manchester, after you have completed your online course. The exam fee is £125 and exam dates will be emailed to you when they become available.
Option 2 – Accrediting Bodies: You can take the exam online via our learning platform, which is fantastic for anyone abroad or not wanting to travel to take the exam, so you can take the exam when it is convenient to you on your PC, the tutor will help you through this process. You will be sent a link to access your online exam. (Option 2 will be accredited with various different professional bodies and recognised for insurance purposes making it a recognised and professional qualification – but this option will NOT be an ITEC qualification) There is no charge for taking this exam.
Certificate on Completion
Once you have completed the course and final exam, you will be awarded with a certificate.
If you choose option 1, your certificate will be awarded by ITEC and this can take between 2 weeks – 2 months after your final exam to be awarded.
If you choose option 2, your certificate will be sent in the post within 10 working days of completing your final exam.
