Developed for health, wellness and fitness professionals, this non-clinical award provides a structured, responsible way to support stroke survivors and their families in their ongoing rehabilitation journey, always within your professional scope and in alignment with clinical care.
The CPD in Stroke Rehab Support will equip you to:
🧠 Understand the physical, cognitive and emotional impact of stroke.
🧠 Support functional movement and strength using adaptive techniques suitable for stroke survivors.
🧠 Design and deliver simple, non-clinical communication-based activities to support language, memory and confidence.
🧠 Recognise red flags and how to refer appropriately.
🧠 Support survivors and families with insight, empathy and clarity.
🧠 Bridge the post-discharge gap, offering consistent, uplifting and structured support where formal rehab is delayed or limited.
This course is NOT a substitute for physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech and language therapy.
It complements clinical care by empowering health, wellness and fitness professionals to contribute meaningfully and safely to stroke recovery in the community.
