In this course, you will learn what pain is and how it affects our bodies and minds. We will examine why it is challenging for those who suffer from it and will discover more about pain management. The course sets out to break some of the pain myths. We will explore methods such as NLP, CBT, Diet and Nutrition, and many other strategies which can be used, not only for yourself to manage pain, but also for you to help clients, enabling them to deal with pain more effectively on a day-to-day basis.
We look at different ways of supporting those who suffer from pain and how to work through the road to recovery before providing useful information in the Support & Resources Module.
By the end of this course, you will have an awareness and understanding of pain management that will enable you to provide a high level of support to yourself or those around you who need it.
