I was prompted to produce this short video which you can view below
Following a call from a lovely lady who had been turned away by her therapist because she had recently had surgery for ovarian cancer. She was told that massage was dangerous for her and she could not have massage for at least 5 years.
I was deeply saddened to her this, but also realised that this misunderstanding about massage and cancer was not the therapist’s fault. Neither was it the college’s fault for teaching her this, but it was definitely someone’s fault. I will leave you to work that one out!
What made this particularly uncomfortable for her was that the client was a 29-year-old nurse, who knew that what she had been told was wrong.
I treated this lovely lady and sorted her neck problem out very easily.
